Rowan I - Lovely sea front villa
2023, a summer where we made yet more memories in this lovely villa. Set on the sea front it provides a unique location to spend the summer holidays. A few words about the support that is provided to ensure that we have a great stay: 1. The gardener turns up every weekend. His dedication to and love for his job are self evident. 2. The pool guys make sure that the pool is clean and ready for use, checking the water levels and pool system, adding treatment where necessary. Very professional with the minimum of intrusion possible. 3. And finally the management team of Carola and Oz, what can be added here. Carola and Oz were there if needed blending professionalism, guidance, advice, support and above all friendship during our stay. As for the facilities, the pool is one of the main draws for the four of us and we always comment on the quality of the water meaning we can spend so much time in the water. The villa interiors are like coming home and we automatically migrate to our rooms as we have done over the years.

My 22nd visit to Cyprus and this villa far exceeded expectations. Location, facilities, provision of furnishing, equipment and support from Carola could not be bettered

This house is all the things you should expect - light, airy, open proportions, welcoming and well cared-for. There are two things I hadn’t predicted. One was the swimming, I walked each morning away from the breakfast table, down the steps and straight into the surf. Warm, clear water, a gentle east to west current, and fish darting around in the shallows below me. And in the afternoon the sunlight swaps over to the landward side of the house, ready for the afternoon’s swimming in the pool, with drinks and books to punctuate the refreshing lengths.
The kitchen is also more than I had hoped for. Well-equipped not just for the obvious cooker, microwave, dishwasher and the rest, but also the less predictable wide range of good quality utensils, pots, dishes, bowls and crockery. We could really cook there, no fumbling around trying to chop food with a spoon-blunt kitchen knife or searching around for an oven-proof dish.

I can’t wait to wake up in that double bed again, with the glass doors open to the sound of the waves on the rocks, and the scented air.

Efessu Villa is the perfect place to spend the last few days of Summer if you’re coming from the UK as we were. We went there in late Sept and had a completely blissed out 5 days. The weather was perfect (hot hot hot!) and there’s a large, well maintained private swimming pool to plunge into for light relief. The place is huge and there is loads of space to lounge in full sun or shade all day. Our large double bedroom downstairs was really elegantly and simply decorated, with minimal beasties and perfect views out to sea from the double doors onto the patio. All the other bedrooms but one have wonderful sea views. The garden and orchard are extensive with an amazing flame tree in residence and lots of other exotic plants to investigate. The villa is very easy to cook in with a sensibly laid out and well stocked kitchen, and a huge comfy inside living area (though we spent all our time outside, either by the pool, or the barbecue area, or staring out to sea from the al fresco dining table). You’ll probably need a hire car to go to dinner or get supplies but the area is very well served for restaurants and markets (with some great local produce too). But the villa and area are very private if you just want to hide away! I couldn’t recommend this villa highly enough. A perfect holiday.

I’m writing this review reluctantly as I would prefer that this villa remains a well-kept secret! My family and I have been 4 times and we would be devastated if it got so popular that it was booked up and we missed out going to this wonderful place.
It really has everything you need to unwind, to have fun, to sightsee, to over-indulge, to enjoy time with family. The pool at the front is a great size and depth for kids and adults. The sea terrace at the back is quiet and makes you feel like you are on a tropical island somewhere! The gardens are colourful and lush. All together they combine to make it a treat to spend time around the villa.
There are loads of places to go for shopping or sightseeing. Car rental is easy (air conditioning!). Kyrenia is a short drive away and a great place to visit. You don’t have to go far for great restaurants. All the facilities are on site for barbequing or cooking a meal. Frankie’s takeaway has a massive menu at very reasonable prices and delivers to the door….great! Supermarkets are close by too and the wonderful fruit markets are a must.
Inside, the villa is airy and spacious with balconies and lots of glass, allowing views of the sea and mountains whether you are lying in bed or relaxing on the sofa. Its fully equipped for all a family’s needs.
All in all, I really do not recommend this place so best of luck finding somewhere else to stay!

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Villa Efessu a couple of times now. It is a truly wonderful place, quiet, well-equipped and well-maintained.
The house itself is large and airy, well laid out and nicely decorated.
You cannot be bored at Efessu, there are books, DVDs, board games and decks of cards all available during your stay.
I love the pool, it has a great deep end which makes for epic bombing and diving competitions with the children.
Whether you like to spend your evenings under the pergola at the barbeque or out on the seaward terrace, you are guaranteed a relaxing experience, listening to the sea lap at the shore only 20m away. There are rock pools just off to the right of the house on the sea terrace that are as warm as a bath in which to take your ease or just a little further on, steps down into the sea where you can observe an array of colourful fish and sea urchins galore.
I love to cook and the kitchen didn’t leave me short; homemade pizzas and breads were so much fun to make in the warm Cypriot weather where the yeast works so differently than back in our cooler climate. If you’ve ever wanted to experiment with dough, experiment there!
If you don’t feel like cooking there are a raft of really good eateries dotted up and down the main road, many of whom deliver a cracking meal at very reasonable prices. The local shops cater well to British tastes, so if you are not overly adventurous there is no problem with sourcing breakfasts and lunches etc.
I truly love the place and cannot recommend it enough.

Tina S - Wow! A beautiful house that does exactly what it says on the tin!
The rooms are generously sized and well appointed, beautiful views and fresh sea breezes. The living area is spacious and extremely comfortable with ample distractions in the way of books, DVDs etc, although admittedly we spent most of our time on the seaward terrace. The kitchen is well equipped and very functional as well as pretty. Outside is truly amazing. The pool is a great size for a single property and there are lots of seating options plus the barbeque is beautifully done and cooks wonderfully. Gardens are very lovely and it is great to go and pick fresh fruit and herbs. The local area is very well serviced with shops and the food, especially the fresh fruit and vegetables are fabulous.
Couldn’t recommend it more, just please don’t try to book it for the same time as us!

Tim B - Lovely location
Spent a week here in October 2017. First impressions are very good starting with a majestic gate leading to beautiful pool and the villa itself.
All well-appointed, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely outdoor and indoor spaces and no noise to distract from soaking up the sun in the pool.
Lovely location right on the sea and with beautiful views of the mountains and not far from plenty of spots for shopping, beaches and dining including a great bar just down the road which does great food and live music that I will never forget!
Would definitely recommend.

Rachel E - Amazing
Lovely family holiday in the well appointed secluded and beautifully luxurious villa. Enough off the beaten track for privacy but near enough to jump in the hire car and have great local meals out. Great pool. Fab local shops. Barbecue near the pool and beautiful romantic views. Can't wait to go again.

David J - Starry Nights, Stunning Days
If you enjoy star gazing with the gentle sound of the Mediterranean lapping nearby, from your own secluded, very high spec villa, this will be for you.
The location is simply perfect. The un-obstructed views of the sea and the mountains really make this the ideal setting for a fabulous holiday. You can walk straight off the terrace and onto the Mediterranean coast!
The love the owners have for this villa is obvious as they have decorated and furnished it to a very high standard and with lots of personal touches and attention to detail. It's spacious, beautifully presented and maintained and has pretty much everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of cutlery, glasses, countless utensils, water cooler etc and quality kitchen equipment all in very good condition (the dishwasher was much used during our stay!) It all made for a very relaxed and carefree holiday.
The villa is large and airy with patio doors leading off the ground floor master bedroom and living areas looking straight onto the Mediterranean. The many windows allowed a good flow of cool air.
The outside area was superb. The 11m pool is surrounded by a large terrace with pergola, barbecue area and garden. The pool is glorious with very few chemicals as it is filled from a well in the garden. The wrap-around balcony gave great views of the sea and the mountains and provided lots of shade when needed. We had lovely evenings sipping the local beer or wine, sitting on one of the terraces looking up at St Hilarion beautifully lit up at night, watching shooting stars, bats in the moonlight and the amazing starscape in a crystal clear sky.
The owners provide house manual with lots of helpful recommendations and information. There's live music and a market at Oris Beach & Bar less than 5 mins walk. Turvetuloa is about 10 mins walk and has amazing mezze and hearty helpings and Kervan does great fajitas and over-looks the Med.
A must rental for families or group of friends. I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely villa.

Andrew P - Premium villa with stunning seaside views.
A stunning villa with fantastic sea views well laid out clean and well maintained , pool is fabulous (even better when the pool lights were repaired)
An ideal location for families with a all major bars cafes and shops a short drive away.
I would highly recommend this villa one thing I would ask the owners to address as this is a premium villa with a price to match is just address some very minor details don't want to sound too picky but on arrival the wi if wasn't working and the pool lights didn't work but a quick call to the property management company and these were resolved but it would have been nice if these vey small things worked from the start.

Katie F - Best holiday!!!
We had the most wonderful break staying at this amazing villa. The location is just right - enough off the track to leave you feeling that you have this wonderful part of the headland all to your self, balanced with the ease of walking up the road to all the local amenities that you need. There are some wonderful restaurants near by and the villa is ideally located with most major interest points only 15/20 mins drive away.
The house itself has been wonderfully designed and up kept. Enough family and communal spaces to relax in balanced with huge bedrooms and breathtaking views. The views which you have straight from your bedroom out onto the sea, make getting up from having your morning cup of coffee in bed very difficult!
I would highly recommend this villa to anyone, large families or couples looking for a intimate break by the sea. We very much look forward to our next visit.

Rachel W - Gorgeous house for October sun
The property was beautiful, spacious and very well equipped. It was very tastefully furnished, clean and well maintained. The pool was lovely and the sea front view stunning. We had many happy hours at the poolside chilling with our friends and enjoying the excellent local beer and food. There was a bar and mini golf within walking distance and driving was a dream as they drive on the same side as the UK. The locals are friendly and the surrounding restaurants and bars great. I would highly recommend a holiday here as even in October the weather was fab.
